Returns & Refunds
We stand behind every Lumavon set. Two situations are covered:
Damaged on arrival or wrong item
Window: 48 hours from delivery.
If your set arrives damaged, broken, or not what you ordered, email us within 48 hours of delivery. Open the foam-insert presentation box on arrival to inspect.
Send to hello@lumavon.com:
- Your order number
- Photos showing the damage or wrong item (clear, well-lit)
- A short video helps if the issue is hard to capture in a photo
We respond within 24 hours and resolve approved claims within 3 business days. Options:
- Full refund to your original payment method, or
- Free replacement set shipped at no additional cost
Do not return damaged items. We don't require physical returns. Send photos and we'll process the resolution directly.
Manufacturing defects within 30 days
Window: 30 days from delivery.
If a manufacturing defect appears in normal use within 30 days — loose handle rivets, blade chipping during ordinary cutting, foam-box damage — we'll replace or refund.
To qualify, the defect must not be caused by improper care:
- Hand wash only — dishwasher use voids coverage
- Dry immediately after washing — rust from prolonged moisture is not covered
- Cutting on appropriate surfaces (wood or plastic boards). Damage from cutting on stone, glass, ceramic, or frozen food is not covered
- Hand sharpening with the included sharpener only — aggressive electric sharpener damage is not covered
Email hello@lumavon.com with your order number, photos or video of the defect, and a brief description of how the issue appeared.
All sales final on change of mind
Because each Lumavon set is hand-folded Damascus packaged in a foam-insert presentation box, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. Please make sure the Lumavon set is what you're looking for before completing your order — check the product page for full specifications, the FAQ for common questions, or email hello@lumavon.com with any pre-purchase questions.
This policy applies to all orders. We strictly enforce it to keep prices fair for everyone.
What is not covered
- Damage from improper care (dishwasher, leaving wet, cutting on hard surfaces, etc.)
- Normal wear after extended use beyond 30 days
- Change-of-mind returns (see above)
- Shipping address errors made at checkout (we ship to the address you provide)
- Customs delays, refused delivery, or packages held by the carrier
- Cosmetic differences (slight pattern variation in Damascus folding, minor wood grain differences in pakkawood handles — these are intrinsic to the hand-folded process)
Refund timing
Once approved:
- We process the refund within 24 hours
- Funds appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days (depending on your bank)
- You'll receive an email confirmation when the refund is issued
